Houston SaberCats U18 Academy: Summer 2023

Try Out: Wednesday, April 26, 2023 | 7:30pm-9:00pm.

Location: SaberCats Stadium | 12131 Kirby Dr., Houston, TX 77045

NEW & RETURNING PLAYERS must attend to be considered for our Summer 2023 Team unless they were already sent an invitation from Coach Mike Brown. 

Eligible players must be in high school or just completed and born in 2005 or later.

What to Expect:

• Conditioning Games
• Positional Skills Work
• Contact Work

What to Bring:

• Water Bottle
• Mouth Guard
• Rugby Boots

If you are selected for the team we will hold practices on the best times that fit everyone’s schedule. Please be sure to complete this section on your registration form. 

Players selected will be playing in the MLR U18 Tournament at Veterans Memorial, the New England Free Jacks Stadium in Boston, on June 22-24, 2023. 

Players selected will be responsible for covering the cost of their flight. Flight details will be given to players after selection. The team will be staying in dorms at Eastern Nazarene College. Ground transportation and meals will be covered by MLR. 

Teams confirmed are the Houston SaberCats, New England Free Jacks, and Rugby New York. More teams are awaiting confirmation.

The tournament will be available to watch on The Rugby Network.
