Boyer Celebrates 50 Caps in MLR
As part of the fifth season of Major League Rugby, the League is recognizing players who have made 50 appearances – also known as caps – in the League. Last night’s match completed 50 for Houston’s own Nick Boyer.
Born and raised in California, Boyer played rugby at Cal Berkely where he earned his degree. He has been selected for the USA Under 20s, Under 23s and has an International Cap with the Eagles in 2018.
Boyer joined the SaberCats last season, and 20 of his 50 appearances in MLR are with Houston. Prior to being a game changer for the ‘Cats, Boyer was on the San Diego Legion and Colorado Raptors. Boyer is one of the true pioneers of the MLR and a great example of those who join the league.
Boyer was presented his Cap celebrating 50 appearances last night from Major League Rugby’s Commissioner George Killebrew.
